The F Series can be made with 150 LB, 300 LB, or 600 LB ANSI sizes, as well as metric DIN and JIS flange sizes.3.FLANGE MATERIALSPreciseHeater’s flanged immersion heaters are available in a diverse range of alloys to accommodate different environments. Carbon Steel, 304 or 316 Stainless Steel, and Titanium flanges are all carried in stock. Exotic alloys, such as Hastelloy® and Inconel®, are also available.4.ELEMENT SHEATH MATERIALOur standard sheath materials encompass a range of options, including Copper, 304 and 316 Stainless Steel, Titanium, and Incoloy®. Electric Immersion Heaters-Industrial HeatersElectric Immersion Heaters aremost suitable for direct heating ofnearly all process liquids and corres-ponding applications. Excellentchemical resistance is ensured bythe use of different immersion tubematerials and variable fitting optionshelp you to meet the individual re-quirements of heating installations.A long life span with optimum reli-ability is assured by using high qual-ity materials thereby ensuring fault-less operation of your system.Electric Immersion heater isconstructed on a modular basis andconsists of a tube, a long-life heat-ing cartridge, a terminal casing andthe lead.The Immersion Heater TubeWe can offer you the optimum ma-terial for every application. Theheated length (minimum immersiondepth) is marked by a ring which isgenerally two-thirds of the tubelength. The tube is not heated abovethis mark. The heated portion mustalways be covered with liquid evenin the case of high liquid level fluc-tuation. The Long-Life Heating CartridgeLong-life heating cartridges aremade from ceramic groove bodieswith high electrical insulation valuesand good mechanical strength.A high temperature resistance heat-ing wire is fitted as a coil in order to achieve the best possible heatradiation from tube to liquid. Thecartridges for immersion heaters areavailable in rated power voltages upto a maximum of 500 volts for one,two and three phase connections.The Terminal Casing BCThe BC terminal casing for immer-sion heaters consists of high tem-perature stabilized PP. Problemfreeuse in most process liquids is en-sured by good mechanical andthermal strength as well as wideranging chemical resistance. ThePVDF terminal casing (BC / L) is re-commended in cases of extremetemperature (liquid temperature80°C) or when subjected tostrongly oxidizing chemicals(e.g. chrome electrolyte or HNO3).The protective casing is IP 65 (jet-waterproof) according to EN 60529.Easy access to the terminal (after fit-ting) when connecting the lead isalso ensured by unscrewing the capwith the mounting wrench SB. The Lead wiresThe PVC connecting lead is with astandard length of 1.6 m. Other leadlengths can be provided if desired. Electrical SafetyThe immersion heaters are classifiedas “safety class 1” according to EN 60519 / 1-2. All metal parts thatare not protected from human con-tact are securely connected to earth.Using non-conductive tubes madeof porcelain or glass, a “protectivecoil“ is also fitted to the heatingcartridges in order to earth thesetubes.
